Tips to Reduce Holiday Stress Easy

This is the most beautiful time of the year. Andy Williams definitely has someone who does all the shopping, baking, decorating, wrapping and social commitments for her. Our patience can run very thin when crazy this time of year.

Sometimes it's hard to find excitement this season. As you would do about your holiday karimunjawa tour preparations, try these easy stress relief tips.

1. Vacation music experience. Really experienced it. As you do your holiday shopping, listen to the music playing in malls, shops and markets. Hopefully, it will not be "Grandma Gets Over Over By a Reindeer." Music can be one of the best stress relievers. How could someone not be soothed by the sound of Nat King Cole or Bing Crosby? Music can also conjure up the more prevalent Christmas joy when we were kids. And better yet, sing along with songs you know. It does not matter if you know all the words. You can always hum.

2. Enjoy the beauty of holiday ornaments. Lights, trees, ornaments, wreaths and even Santa Clauses giant clumps of grass on the outskirts of town are the visuals of the holidays. When someone decorates their home or business for a holiday, it is a gift for all visitors and passers-by to enjoy. So, just enjoy it. Let the glittering lights, stunning decorations, festive trees and Santa Klaus blowpipe bring a smile to your face.

Feel the warmth of physical contact. People are naturally more fond of the holidays. We get holiday hugs from friends, family and co-workers. Hand shakes and good wishes are exchanged by everyone. Even for the enemy, the holidays bring out the similarities as opposed to the difference, covering instead of bitterness. We get a handshake and a smile from our boss as we ignore the whole year. Instead of being angry about it, respect it. Thinking and expressing good joy towards others will greatly lower your stress level. So next time you're in the market place your arm around the bagger and hope they're safe on vacation.

4. Take a soothing aroma. The aroma of the holiday is all around us. We can not escape the scent of Christmas trees from Christmas trees or the scent of spicy gingernail cake this year. Bayberry or cinnamon candles are another scent this season. Researchers have found that certain scents trigger our memories to the surface. Perhaps the smell of fresh baked cookies reminds you of pleasant childhood memories. Breathe in the scent and let them take you to your happy memories.

5. Taste the delicious seasonal delicacies. This stress-relief tip is probably the easiest to use. There is no doubt that most holidays enjoy the food. Yes, we'll get a few pounds. But, can you think of a vacation without meeting family, friends, co-workers and parties at holiday parties? Many of your stores, businesses and workplaces are usually filled with food you need to take while doing your work. You may also receive the gift of food whether it be candy, peanuts or a bottle of wine from friends or colleagues. Enjoy the flavors and let them fill you with gratitude. Be thankful that you have more than enough food to enjoy and your caring friends and family.

This holiday stress relief tip is all based on watching the beauty of this season. You do not have to do or have anything special to use it. You must slow down, attend and change your perspective. Use your mind and your senses to feel depressed and find joy. The holiday season will end quickly, take advantage of the lights and cheers around you.
